If they're both 1.6 HDi and close in age, likely can be used. Do you know the engine codes or HP of both?

Engine codes vary but it's possible your van is the 8v later design. Pm me the VIN numbers of both vehicles and tell me which is which, I'll tell you the engine details

What mileage has the engine that’s burning oil done?
And how much oil is it burning?
It may not be the engine itself
It could be possible that the turbo oil seals are leaking.

CITROËN BERLINGO 1.6 HDi 75 16V
1,560 cc 75 hp / 55 kW since 04/2008 9HT (DV6BTED4)

CITROËN BERLINGO 1.6 HDi 90 8V
1,560 cc 92 hp / 68 kW since 07/2010 9HJ (DV6DTEDM), 9HP (DV6DTED)

So they're different generations - early 16V vs later 8V. Not to say you can't swap them but the engine ECU won't be ideally suited to the replacement engine / injectors etc.

I've attached the spec sheet for all PSA engines so you can see.
