Hi All
My Berlingo 1.6 HDI 2012 110.000 on the clock has got a message on the LCD indicating the EOLYS need refilling the tank is under the O/S rear couple of questions.
Is it a tank or a bag in a tank.
Seems an easy 5 minute job has I say.
I am looking at buying a refill kit off Ebay £30 odd quid.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Regards

It's a bag, inside a tank shaped cover with a pump beside it. The neck of the bag will be coloured, red, blue or green etc, the new one has to be the same colour as the different colours denote different chemicals they used over the years and they aren't compatible with each other. The pouch contents (1 litre) lasts 100k miles.
If getting a refill, the chemical has to match what your vehicle came with - again they aren't compatible with each other. Also the bag may be split or worn after all this time and you may need a new one at £100 instead of a refill kit. The bags tend to split along the seam after a few years and the ECU can't measure the bag level, it guesses based on mileage covered. Yours may already be split and the contents long gone.
You will definitely need to get the FAP additive system reset by a dealer or someone with DiagBox software and a Lexia interface or it won't know you've changed it over and it will still count down to no-start condition whether you use a refill kit, or fit a new bag.
