hello all.
i have a 2004 berlingo 2.0 hdi and i need to change the front brake disks and pads.
mine has double vented disks and is not a.b.s. (no sensor wires).
looking online various sites show various types depending on the make of brake system used such as girling.
is there a way to identify the make of my system?
thanks!

Take one of the front wheels off, measure the width, thickness and diameter of the disc and you will be certain what you already have.

Should be a makers name cast into the caliper eg " Lucas "

Check that you also have the correct Allen type socket to remove the (often very tight) caliper bolts - the disc locating screws are also Allen type.

My 2008 M59 with abs has vented discs and Bosch calipers and from memory the torx bolts holding them on are size 55 bit. Make sure you clean out the torx bolt and give the socket a tap on with a soft hammer to seat it home before trying to undo it.
