Just a question, My van is up for PSV this week and every year I always take my alloys off to put steal rims on are you allowd to use alloys for PSV ? I never took the risk . Confused

The axles just have to match in wheel sizes don't they?

I don't think they check them against the original manufactured tyre sizes.

Not sure if it's different over there, but on the mainland it would be O.K.

I should have seen OP's location.

I've had 2 cars tested with alloys on and they passed no bother. The only time i was pulled up was because one alloy in the set was damaged on the inside so it was not fit for the roads.

Main problem with alloys on some cars is the fact they can't handle them. 17'' upwards and you start to increase your wear and tear on the front end; wishbones, mounts etc, so it indirectly can be a problem but shouldn't be for the test itself if the alloys are OK.

I don't think there'll be any problems. Citroen alloys are available for all Berlingos. So aftermarket sets should be OK.
I'd leave your steels on and ask when you're having the test done.

Are vehicle tests in Northern Ireland governed by a different body to us or something?

You dont know what they are like in Northern Ireland lol , They make there own rules :0O , Ill just stick to then and ask them on friday to be sure ,
