Hi can anyone recommend a diy obd scanner that can read individual abs sensor problems please? Thanks Dunc.

Hi, none of them can read individual ABS sensors live data - only fault codes on PSA CANBUS or VANBUS vehicles I'm afraid. (I have many different models and none of them can read that deeply from experience to get at the individual sensors)

Bluetooth OBD plugs that support the full ELM327 protocol like the "VGATE iCar Orange" from Amazon will read live data using Torque Pro app but not ABS data stream, as it's a high-priority CANBUS system so only Citroen DiagBox can read those. Google it, this is PSA OEM software you can buy on ebay or online, needs its own adaptor head (comes with the full kit) and requires a laptop with Windows 7 on it. The install is quite detailed and needs careful steps to get it installed and working. On the M59 I would stop at maybe version 7.58 up to 7.62 maximum.

Or find an indy garage who have it if this is a step too far for you to do. I have DiagBox as a lot of other owners do and it's fantastic once you get it working. I've done some writeups on here regarding install. If you search, you will find them. frenchcarforum have good threads on the subject too.

If you are PC handy its straightforward but needs the install instructions to be followed to the letter. The install takes a good few hours to complete.

Check for a map of DiagBox owners on frenchcarforum and you'll probably find someone near to where you live who will scan the car for some beer tokens. It's there, can't remember what they call it. Google "DiagBox map" or "DiagBox list" and it will show up.
