Hello everyone!

I decided to join this board when it is not really needed. There is no burning question I need to ask right now. Smile My Berlingo is doing quite alright, even in the bloody cold.

I am located in Southwest Finland, but not a native Finn. I do live here permanently. Love it. After 3 Xsara Picassos (2x 1.9HDi, last one 1.6HDi) I got my current Berlingo. It's the commuter car for my wife mostly, so we add about 30-35k kms every year. We own 2 dogs and we give them space, so all but 1 seats removed from the back and one large cage put there. It's hard to keep the car clean. Not so much bco the dogs, it's my wife who does that.  Dodgy

I knew plenty about my Xsara Picassos, but the Berlingo I am still learning and exploring. My car has no fancy extras, but it does have an electric block heater and inside heater. Right now we drive it on spiked winter tyres.

I said there were no issues, but the car will be collected from the garage today. A message about the DPF filter clogging made me go there. It appeared to be a frozen sensor (which one, I don't know, but I bet one close to the front of the car). That filter was replaced about half a year ago and we both drive like we're always in a hurry, so I knew there was something funny going on.

Well, I hope I can be helpful to some, learn from the misfortune of others and then stay out of trouble and needing to write about my own trouble.

Cheers,
Roope

Kiitos, my mucker!

And an update: I may today get another Berlingo. The original one died yesterday. Timing belt went at 100km/h! I did not have the time to check if I forgot to replace it, but I doubt that, as the first time is usually at 120k, isn't it? And then it was not in my possession, I bought it at 150k and only added 60k and in just about 2 years. This is not looking good.

Well, not going to have it repaired, or engine replaced, but will have it towed to my place where it will take the place of junked Xsara Picasso, that actually has a running engine, but unfortunately one of them sluggish one point niners. Prkl.

Will let you know what I will get. My wife is doing the choosing and buying. I trust her on this. I mean, she is the one who drove all our cars off the road, and back on (!), and hit 2 deer, which makes you adrenaline gold member around here (...yeah the poor deer were tracked, found and taken for their meat, that's how we do things.)

Update: does it count if your Berlingo is not in use, only waiting in your barn to get an engine replacement? Maybe for years...

I bought a 2018 Peugeot Partner Tepee. 1.6 Blue Hdi 100. Hope I won't get booted from the forum now.

Nah, poor Partner owners have no forum of their own so we welcome them in here.

It is mandatory though, to draw a Citroen grille on a piece of cardboard with a Sharpie and tie wrap it to the front of the Partner so it looks more like a Berlingo. Is that ok? Big Grin
