Hi,
Brand new here hi!
Bought a 2003 van towards the end of last year for occasional use but have hardly used my car since I bought it. It has had a fairly hard life and the drivers seat is in a pretty bad way. Can anybody tell me if'
The passenger and drivers seat are interchangeable
What other seats are a straight swap?
Cheers

I think not swappable because of mounting rails and seatbelt anchors?

I thought all M49/59 van seats had a non adjustable folding passenger seat?

On my 2003 2.0HDI, 146K mile, Multispace, the drivers seat foam was collapsing, yet the seat covers were fine. My solution was to swap in the foam from the passenger seat. It took around 3 hours but wasn't difficult and cost nothing. My lower back approved.

Know this is an oldish thread but thought I'd share.
Saw an M49 MS WAV (by Gowrings) recently. This had proper folding front seats as it had no sliding doors so they had to be that way to access the rear seats.
It occurred to me that they would be ideal for my M59.
Just saying.

Will check, thought they were mounted on the floor
What I meant was they probably can't be swapped left and right because the seat belt anchors on the sides of the seats would be on the wrong sides, plus I may be wrong but I thought one rail of each seat mounted down onto the floor but the other mounted sideways to the sill by the door... or am I thinking of another model?

Assuming they were not Gowring replacement seats (you'd have noticed if they were), then this is a very good point. It could mean that the M49 seats did fold over, and since the M49 and M59 bodies are similar, their seat fixings probably are too.
Might be worth asking the question in the M49 section?
