I used the (new to me) 2.0 HDi Berlingo tonight and as I drove off, the courtesy light started flashing. I never noticed this behaviour when driving it back from the dealers in daylight, but did notice it with the lights on. I presume it's trying to tell me something - but what?

I had this happen on my 2.0 HDI many years ago and indeed it was telling me the boot was not fully locked, It did look locked, an open then close sorted it out.

Yes its telling you something is not closed fully (doors or tailgate )
