Rear door stoppers
#1
Hello

Just wondering if there is a handy way to engage the rear door stoppers.

Manual says they should engage when you shut the van doors but mine wont.

Cheers Tom

Just been out to check ours and they do indeed engage when the door is shut. Perhaps a goodly dose of 3-in-1 oil around the latch on the door may help as they could be seized up or very stiff.

Just a thought.  Do the arms attached to the van body move freely?

Mine are permanently attached unless I pull the yellow lever. Yours is in the unlocked position. Put the pin in the two round cutouts and swivel the yellow lever till it locks onto that pin. I'll take a pic when I go to work of it locked in.

It doesn't lock on by itself, you have to lock it by swivelling the yellow lever, and then it will stay like that.

It has a spring on the yellow lever, yours must be jammed. Not much between locked and unlocked but enough.

Locked (lined up edge near the van body is unlocked)

Pulling the lever towards the van is unlocked so the door can be swung to 180 degrees, insert the pin into the gap, then push the yellow part back towards the door to lock the pin in place.
