Rear Light Wiring
#1
Good evening guys,

Wondering if anyone could help me please I’m installing some Led lights in the rear of a 2010 Berlingo Van. I have removed the rear interior light but I’m struggling with the cables and can’t seem to find a diagram. I have 1 white cable, 1 green cable and 1 green cable with a yellow stripe through. I was planning on adding a switch, noticed the rear interior light goes on when the side door is opened and goes off after a while.

Many Thanks

Everything is electronically controlled from the BSI, including those lights. You can't get a permanent feed anywhere inside the cabin but could route a fused pair from the engine bay fusebox using a piggyback and run that to the rear for LEDs if you want to switch them manually.

All systems on the Berlingo switch off after 20 mins later as it enters eco mode, including the rear interior lighting, most other things go off immediately with the engine.

With a meter you can buzz between the lamp end caps and the wires of the rear bulkhead light plug to identify the power to the light if you only want them on when the doors are open. You want the only pair that go to the lamp itself. The rest are for the enable switch.
