Rear wiper delete kit??
#1
Is there anywhere that sells a rear wiper delete kit?  If not, anyone know any hacks to do it?

Thanks

Why?

The back window picks up a lot of road spray, the rear wiper is good to have for obvious reasons.

The rear windows are blacked out, i have no need for a rear wiper.

If you don't want it because, for instance you have logo on the window, then simply remove the arm and blade.

I would just remove the fuse. One day you'll sell the van on and wish the wiper was there for the sale.

Most 'delete kits' are just a rubber bung sized to fit the hole, and frankly, they look like crap. How waterproof they are can also be debated.

I assume that you want to do this for aesthetic reasons?
If so, remove the wiper, sand down the area around the hole, weld a metal disc into the hole, grind down the welds, a thin layer of whatever goop is used to fill uneven areas, sand, prime, sand, paint...

Either do it properly, or not at all.

If you're smart, you make a cardboard template to locate the area where the hole is supposed to be before you start welding, and store this together with the parts you removed, in case you later decide to sell the car. Then the buyer can reinstate it if he wants to.

The wiper spindle passes through the glass unless you have back doors.

Put a Smiley sticker over the hole.
