ecu swop.
#1
hi all, new on here, but i have an old problem, i have a berlingo2 1.9d wjyb, stop solenoid went bad, ecu smoked with no comms, i swapped 3wire engine cutoff solenoid for a single wire one  ,  s/hand ecu /keyset/ bsi,
now i have comms, glow plugs, lights, horn, indicators, central locking ,tacho, what i don' t have are revs.
i powered the solenoid from reverse switch feed ,starts perfectly but i have no  pump advance or ecu control engine fine to 1500 revs ,then smokes ,shakes rattles knocks. only code is the dreaded P1689 with delphi clone,
Also Relay plate control unit,DATA-line;communication faulty.
is there a way to repair this or a work around,i live in hope, mick.    ps i tried leaving the old solenoid connected /dis connected no difference. Dodgy

First thought is the MAF not connected or not compatible, or old ECU had different EGR throttle, or even the pedal to engine interface is different, i.e. was a TPS and now expecting a cable. Are you sure the replacement ECU has identical software....do all the numbers on the upper section of the ECU label match exactly to the old one....if not, it's different.

So, first things first, can we have:

Year of vehicle
PSA Engine code of original car

Year of replacement ECU / BSI / Keys
PSA Engine code of replacement ECU / BSI / Keys...
