Central console with sliding lid, is it worth it?

My car has only the base console with cigarette ash tray in front, is it worth to upgrade to the one with sliding lid?
Peugeot dealer wants aprox. 200eur for the console and the base...

For me its worth it, as its always comeing in handy, but 200 is alot for one. Ebays your best bet.

The bottom section does also have to be replaced to fit the storage box. This is the tricky bit to source used. You can tell them apart from the cup holders in relation to the handbrake. The base which is compatible with the box has the cupholders at the rear.

yes i know i need also the bottom part, the price i got from Peugeot is for the set.

Go scrap yard or amazon. I wouldn't want to pay that for it. Facebook car marketplace is another good place and cheap.

Ok so i got the bottom part and the console, but on the instalation schematic there is a mat for sound insulation between the 2 parts. Anyone can give me the details like what kind of material there is and the thickness?
7591 H5 is the part I don't have (cale antibruit in french..)
