On 'er indoors' dog van, after it has been locked with the remote, a small red light starts flashing located (I think - van not here for checking) in the heater controls panel. This light flashes continuously once a second or so until the van is unlocked whereupon it goes out. I can find no mention of this light in the handbook. Does anyone have an idea what this light means?

My M59s & IIRC the B9 also had this. I think it's just a pretend alarm, or of it's not flashing a hint that the doors are not locked...

Mine too, its on the door lock button in the dash. Once locked, it flashes every 2 seconds or so.
Looks like a deterrent to show its "armed"

Van has now returned so I have checked it's location - also on the door lock button but it flashes a lot quicker than yours. Maybe up to twice a second.

According to the handbook for my Pug Expert, the light will only start flashing if you lock the doors within 5 mins of closing the last door.

Must be normal. There's a delay before it starts, I walked away once I saw it start to flash. I don't think it started until the dash display went out (the mileage section)

It's a pity Citroen couldn't include the same information in their Berlingo handbook then!

Perhaps that would mean using too much ink!
