[Engine] Water pump

Hi all.

I'm in the middle of fitting a gates cambelt kit and have a few questions.

Is it best to use sealant along with the waterpump gasket?

Shoud I use locktite on the idler bolts as well as the crank pulley bolt?

This engine has the floating crank sprocket. thinking of setting the belt tension by the 90 degree twist method, starting off with the 2mm gap on the left hand side of the keyway slot. Does this sound ok?

I try to avoid using the Gates kits , but this is mostly personal preference as they are usually more expensive & come with less parts than INA kits, which are without doubt the best.
The INA gasket fir the water pump gas a sticker on it saying “use no sealant”
I am quite sure that the Gates gasket is similar.
Personally I don’t use sealant on any water pump gasket now & never gave an issue.
The INA replacement studs are pre coated with loctite , so if your Gates are not, then I recommend applying your own.
