Indicators

Had a problem which slowly got worse, left indicator worked fine but the right hand one would intermittently bring on the left indicator, a bit dodgy on the motorway. The headlights were switching themselves on after I'd parked and switched the lights off.

I read the threads on changing the unit and my fingers aren't up to that sort of job anymore.

So in for a penny I bought a can of electrical contact cleaner, at first the problem was still there but a squirt every few days for a week or so and bingo indicators now working OK (touch wood).

The intriguing thing is my indicators are very quiet and I was stationary at traffic lights with the left indicator on then it suddenly got louder, brilliant but next use back to quiet.

A poster thought there might be a setting within the headunit but I cannot see anything pertinent .

It seems the volume can go up.

Any ideas on how to get a change the indicator volume please
