Hey mate! I had an update prompt on the My Citroen App asking me to update my mapping (version 9.0.0-r0). I used the email link on the app to forward the Citroen Update Tool/App to my Mac. Once I download the app to my Mac, I can then see my Berlingo 2020 Driver 1.5 100 listed marked with the VIN Number. I select it and it says “Please select your update”. In this case it’s listed as Cartography (9.0.0-r0). I then tap Download in orange in the bottom right side of the screen. It then asks me to browse a download location. Normally I would of asked to download to my USB stick, but something in French says it won’t allow this. So I then choose to download the update straight to my Mac hard drive. It begins to download and then in 1/2 secs, it’s comes up with an error saying “An error occurred while retrieving update data. Please check your connection settings”. I’ve even turned off my Mac Firewall thinking that may prevent the update data from being downloaded.
The strange thing here is I’ve used the Citroen Update app on my Mac before with no problem. The app version is 1.0.5 - previously you would have to download the update to the Mac then unzip, decompress etc etc, so using the Citroen Update App is much easier. I’ve no idea why it’s saying check connection settings.
Anyways, yet again I’ve had to contact Citroen Customer Services on 0800 093 9393 and as there is no dedicated phone department to deal with these technical issues while talking, they’ve had to raise a ticket for the Connected Services Team to reply back to me why I’m experiencing this error related to the app.
I do know that the My Citroen app on my iPhone was only updated one day ago, so I’m now wondering if there are problems with the Citroen Update app which is only available on a Mac or PC.
If I get any further information I’ll post on here and hopefully likewise on your end if you get an answer to the problem! Cheers!

Thanks Boop! So without knowing, do you think the current version for the Citroen Update App @ 1.0.5. that downloaded to my Mac is not current or has a glitch? I thought that when I clicked “email the link to download the Citroen Update App” that it would of sent me the most current version to proceed with the new mapping update! I’m guessing not and assume Citroen Connected Services are working on this!

as above mine is doing exactly that and since the update it tells me im due a service at 1 year or 9.942 miles (thought it was more miles than that) so according to this that makes van 9 month old at just under 10000 miles. I got Berlingo driver 100 ad blu stop start 20 plate

The maintenance section on the My Citroen App is crazy.....my paper service details issued when I collected my van in March 2020, read every 25,000 miles or 2 years. When I got to this month @ just over 10k miles (1 year on), due to Covid and lack of work miles, I knew my first service would probably be based on time rather than mileage. Pre-Covid I would of clocked 30K in 12 months. Anyways, just recently the app told me to get the van serviced “after 1 year” if my miles were below 25k. Took it to Robins & Day B’ham North, who proceeded to carry out the first service as their system also said 25k “or 1 year”. Upon collection, they then said another system on their computer mentioned just like my paper documents that the first service based on time should be 2 years or 25k whichever comes first. Consequently, they only changed the oil and filter, carried out a health check and left it at that. They then said come back at 25k or in another 12 months and they would carry out the full 25k service which included all filters etc etc. They did say by changing the oil and filter 10k too early was better than no change and more than likely did more good to the engine than not. I’m
just surprised their system didn’t tally with my documents. I’m on a full maintenance and service deal with this Berlingo as it’s on contract hire with Free2Move and infact after I left the dealership, F2M actually picked up that the vehicle had had its first service 1 year/15k too early and asked why I (the customer) had the van serviced too early! Robins & Day said they were confused by the system details and agreed to cover the cost by not charging the lease company.
Since the My Citroen App update this week, the service guide still looks weird, so I’m sticking to my official paperwork and hopefully by the time I reach 25k or 2 years, the van will be back on track!

Hey! It looks like Citroen have fixed the problem on their Citroen Update App which is downloaded to your PC or Mac! Yesterday when I asked for the mapping update to download an error message said to check connections. I’ve reinstalled the Citroen Update App to my Mac and it’s now downloading the mapping update which I’ll then transfer over to my USB stick. The mapping update is 9.0.0-r9 and the Citroen Update App for your computer is 1.0.5.
Hope this helps!
