Hey guys, just ordered a set of led lights on eBay and they have to be put on the inside of the headlamp. Is it a hard job to separate the headlamp lens from the actual frame? Has anyone done this before? I’d like some tips if someone has it done before. Also what kind of sealer is used to bond them together? Any help appreciated ??
i have split loads of headlights in the past. but most have been glass on plastic that used sealer you could heat up and pull them apart. i have done some plastic on plastic, but they are usually fusion welded together, so you have to cut them open to split them. then glue them back together.
My opinion would be, go get yourself some salvage headlights and give it a go on them. don't ruin the ones on the van

I managed to split a pair of M59 headlights yesterday. Plastic on plastic but they had sealer. They came appart a lot easier than i thought they would. I used a heat gun and a small pry bar.
