Morning all,
I'm currently driving my 2nd Berlingo, a 2011 Multispace xtr . I've had it about six years now and as a family we love it.
It serves us well as our one vehicle for my work ( carpentry) and family camping, cycling and day to day driving. It has largely been very reliable and economical but the hills and pretty rough roads in our area are beginning to take their toll on the suspension . Many links and springs failing on the front so I'm beginning to think of it's replacement with a newer XL ( until the electric's range is realistic) in petrol automatic. ( Madame's stipulation!) I'm assuming the longer vehicle's suspension will be able to take more payload, and hence be better able to take the punishment.
Am I wishful thinking? Is it the same suspension set up as my current? Would I be better off investigating a commercial crew van variant?
What I don't want is to replace and find the same problems cropping up again, so if anyone can advise please do!
Cheers Alan
