Hi all
I am having a go at changing the coolant and the van i have a citroen berlingo 1998 DW engine has a radiator drain plug, but i can't seem to see it anywhere, has anyone got any idea where it could be hidden ?
Many thanks for your help

May not have one - removing the bottom hose is the alternative option.

There's probably a drain plug on the block (somewhere...), but this won't drain all of the coolant in the system. If you want to strengthen the anti-freeze mix that you have in the system then draining off the coolant at the thermostat housing will allow you to top up with fresh anti-freeze, but clearly won't remove all of the existing coolant.
I have a cheap antifreeze tester and simply keep the coolant in place and top up for winter.
Bleeding the system afterwards can be a bit of a pain after any draining.

I guess there are different radiators fitted but the 2001 Dw8 I'm working on has a radiator drain plug on the N/S bottom corner. This isn't the original radiator though.

You can't really miss it on this one if you look at the bottom corner on the passenger side, I guess yours must not have one or be different. I just went outside and had a look at other options for draining the system. Failing taking the bottom hose off there is a small diameter hose that goes from the bottom o/s corner of radiator where the bottom hose is to the oil cooler (where oil filter is) if this was disconnected at the oil cooler and lowered I think it would be nearly as good.

Yes the tap on radiator is not very good. I think to open it you turn quarter turn then pull it out a bit. The one on this car is parged up with thread tape to seal it.
