Economy mode active

Can anybody please explain what the 'Economy mode Active' is about ? Obviously, I understand the terminology but what's it doing ? I have not selected anything in the configurations about economy mode active. I was messing about with the bluetooth phone/radio settings without engine running & ignition on when it kept popping up. I think it also pops up when I sometimes hold the ignition for a moment before starting up. Can't find it in the manual.
How do I get rid of it and/or deselect it ?

It's to stop you draining the battery i.e leaving the radio on without the engine running or internal lights on. Don't think it can be turned off

You can run the radio without the engine running and the ignition on for about 1/2 an hour, no idea how to get rid of it, I've always thought it was safer to leave it rather than running the battery down.

Thanks for the replies, all makes sense now because it did switch off the radio after about half hour whilst I'd been messing about with settings on the radio etc.

It can't be turned off. It shuts down to protect the battery from dropping too low to start the engine.
