2009 Berlingo conversion flooring
#1
Hi!

I'm currently converting my 2009 multispace after removing all back seats. Although the floor is already carpeted I've read that it's best to have lino, vinyl or laminate for the floor to make it easier to clean but with it being my first conversion I'm wondering which is easiest?

Of course the floor itself isn't flat (goes up slightly before dropping into the footwell where the back seats were) so any tips on either flattening that out or working around it would be helpful.

Thanks!

The van versions have a steel plate that covers up the bit where the rear seat passengers feet go. Maybe you can take it off a scrapper and fit it to yours.

Z, without me going out to the dog van to look, is this steel plate removeable?

Now on the FB forum which I no longer frequent, there was a lad who wanted to remove his to fit rear seats and he did it with a bit of coaching. I think it's bolted in from memory but it could be spot welded. He came back the next day showing a pic of it gone. I knew they put a panel in as mine has it and you can stash stuff in there by dropping the front seat. (It's where my overalls live)

It is removable though. If spot welded then those could be drilled through on a scrapper and then The panel tiger bonded to the new floor. If bolted of course, dead easy.

Hi I am planning to do the same with my 07 mpv. I hadn’t realised the raise in floor level so thanks. I have removed the seats with a view to making a permanent camper rather than boot Jack. Lshape system .
Plan was to put a ply floor lining which would be van shaped/size and so cover that area but will have room to tuck things under from each side .
