It's never too late and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. Some Piaggia Mp3s are rideable on a car licence. I ride with various groups of auld fellas in Yorks/Lancs and at home in Essex, we have a rider with an Mp3 who is 88, and my own home group (Last of the Summer Winos Biker Gang) is usually led by an 86 year old. The Honda C90's are worth real money nowadays (I have 4) but the new or nearly new C125 is a 21st Century version and a better option. There is nothing as amusing as riding in a group of 30 or so other idiots on tiny bikes.
I think you guys should end up at Box Hill on a Sunday morning. T'would put the fear of god up all the boy racers!
I started on a 125 Varadero and took my test at the age of 66 then on to a Deauville for another couple of years before I gave it a rest. Am rather tempted by the new C125 though.
