My last berlingo, purchased 3 years ago was also a blue engine, but the adblue consumption was so low, that I never needed to put any in. It was always filled up once a year at service, after covering at least 14K miles and as a mobility customer, it was done for free. I have been reading up on my new model, and it suggests that adblue can need top up in as little as 3-4K miles. I am aware that driving style can influence the rate of use, and therefore I may get much further, but the figures seem very low? Anyone got any guidance on this?
My biggest concern is because I do a yearly Summer tour of eastern Europe to see my Daughter in Prague, covering several K miles. If I need to take adblue with me, I believe the volume involved is enormous! - Or is it easy to purchase abroad? - and presumably I don't have to reset anything? - I just fill it up? This may seem a very easy question to many, but I have honestly never had to buy any of the stuff! Again, any guidance?
Many thanks

I did about 6,000 miles before I had to do my first adblue top-up. I bought 10 litres from a Sainsbury's filling station (inside the shop, not at a pump). It would be bizarre if it wasn't available on the continent - there are adblue vehicles there as well, and I think the stuff is actually made in Germany. You don't need to reset anything - just top up on level ground, through the correct hole.

AdBlue is available everywhere all over Europe. On station shelves from 1L bottles to 5L jugs or just a regular nozzle at the station, right next to the fuel.

Many thanks. If I have done say 5+k miles prior to my next long trip, I may just buy a 10l bottle and fill up before I go.

Thanks very much. Now confident I can deal with extensive overseas travel, but If my next trip is after say 5k miles, I may just give the adblue a little top up before I go, to save the hassle of buying any.

It could be next year before you can leave the UK to drive across Europe (so plenty of time to stock up), even then you may still need a Covid test pass thats less than 72 hours old and travel paperwork to cross every border on the way. No more "free travel" in the continent. Not sure how truck drivers handle their Covid test expiring mid journey. Maybe Rasputin will know.

Hi,
My adblue Berlingo came from a Citroen dealer who had "topped up ALL the levels" before delivery. I thought I'd add some just to see what it needed. Well, 10 litres later (no it wasn't running out of the bottom!) it was full. That was in a car on it's first 20,000 miles. I've been led to believe you get a 700 mile warning or suchlike before it runs out, so plenty really. French motorway stations have it on the shelf, so I'd not worry. Just make sure you can remove the filler plug as mine was wickedly tight and needed a cheap tool from eBay to remove it. Nothing to reset - do with engine off though.
Also worth noting to make sure you have the ventilated type of plug (little blue dot in middle), as the previous type were notorious for stuffing up the adblue tank/pump with vacuum damage!
We're off to France in a couple of weeks to see if our house is still standing and the garden hasn't taken over, so we'll be testing how easy it to navigate tests etc etc etc....
Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement…

Comparing to the above, mine did 9,000 before 1000 mile remaining warning. My understanding is the tank is 17 litres( possibly partly why this generation has just a 10 life fuel tank compared to 11.5? For the petrol versions).
So it looks like( assuming the tank is half full) with urban biasedrunning, 17,000 miles might be a tank range.

I don't know why but the service dept at my Citroen dealer told me to fill the adBlue, rather than just adding a nominal quantity.
