Load sensing valve , fitting spring Help!!
#1
Hi finally got a spring, just not sure how tight or slack it can be . if i tighten it up just not too slack it closes the valve ? If i loosen it so the valve has movement both ways, the spring is slack?
Do you think i need a new valve as well?
Any help would be appreciated .

I notice that when ours is jacked up and supported under the axle beam so that there is no load on the suspension the spring is slack

I changed the spring on mine for MOT. Got a kit on ebay. It is a fiddly job, but after fitting spring with wheels on ground I tightened up nut on spring to take out slack but only finger tight, any more and the valve starts to move. Then it passed MOT.
