test eolys pump + electronics

Does anyone know how to test the functioning of the eolys pump on a 1.6 hdi?
I removed the whole tank and had a look at the pump and electronics, but couldn't see anything unusual. When I simply connect the two wires that go to the pump to 12V (after removing the electronic circuit board thingy) I only hear a sort of a click, but do not notice any pump action. Could this mean the pump is knackered?? Or does it need a different input than a simple 12V DC

In Diagbox 7.58, in POMPE_MUX_TI computer, there ar 2 tests:
1. Sound test - to just listen if the pump is clicking during some 30 s or so
2. Flow test - disconnect the hose going from the pump to the diesel tank and put under the pump outlet a vessel, a cup to catch it, then run the test and after the end, you should measure ~15 ml (I guess 15, it is written in instructions there). No lifting is needed (at my car).
For me test 1. works, test 2. I measured only 5 ml.
I have Peugeot Partner 1.6 HDi, 68 kW, 2013, Diagbox China, no errors.
