New to the Berlingo - a few Q's

Hi,

Recently bought a used 2019 Berlingo Flair M, 1.2 110. (Also first Citroen) Mostly to transport bikes, camping equipment, garden stuff, and for day to day use. I should have bought one years ago; had it 5 months now and love it. 

A few questions:

1. What are the elastic loops on the left side of the boot for?

2. Is it possible to fit the storage box that fits to the ceiling in the boot? Modutop?

3. Is it possible to raise the passenger seat? I'm short to have my seat raised about 6cm so would like the passenger seat to match.

4. Any good ideas for a small shelving unit for the boot for muddy cycling shoes, helmets, backpacks etc?

2. In earlier models at least, the modutop was part part of the car and you got one or didn't depending which trim you chose. Might be different for the K9 though.

Have a good look at a K9 with the modutop - it might be possible to unbolt it and bolt it into yours, if it has the bolt holes hidden under the headlining. Check that doing so doesn't cause warranty issues. Then all you've got to do is find one at a breakers!

3. Yes, but get it done properly for safety reasons. You might want to discuss it with your insurer, to see what they need to make them happy. You could for instance put some lengths of square section steel tube in between the seat rails and the floor and use longer bolts, but what would happen to the bolts in a heavy front (or rear or sideways) impact?

For that reason, perhaps a welded steel frame with four sides would be required.
