I've just been told that one of the front rims on my 55 plate 2.0 HDi Berlingo Multispace is losing pressure due to corrosion, and that I will need a new wheel. I went to fit the spare wheel, only to find that it's a 14" wheel/tyre (all the other wheels are 15"). In my defence, I've not long had the vehicle... I tried a local breaker and he sold me a pair of wheels/tyres off a 2016 model. They were 15" but the rim and tyre were wider (195 section as opposed to 185 on my wheels), but I bought them anyway.
After a lot of faffing about I can conclusively state that these wheels cannot fit on my vehicle, as the offset is different and the tyres rub on the plastic inners, something that's a clear no-no. So tomorrow they're going back.
Is there a source for the OE steelies at a sensible price, or are we reduced to trawling scrappies? Also what is the correct offset (ET??) for our model? There do seem to be a lot of options on ebay...
