Workshop Manuals
#1
Hi All,

I have a 2008, Berlingo M59 model with the 1.6hdi engine.....

I have it booked in Tuesday for the glow plugs changing, I was having a poke round the engine bay tonight and noticed thick oily gunk in the area of the injectors, it was quite a mess.

I checked the engine oil on the dipstick and its fine.

So I got to work with the WD40 and cleaned the whole area, I plan on running the engine tomorrow and observing the area, see if anything obvious stands out.

I want to get to know my engine better though as this is my first diesel engine and I won't lie, a lot of head scratching lol.

So my question is, do Haynes do a workshop manual for the van or is there a pdf that I can download somewhere.

Thanks very much

John

The tar like substance around the injectors will be leaking injector seals, if its not to bad you may get away with tighten them but its probably better to replace the seals. There is a workshop manual on the site somewhere you can download.
Are we there yet????? Huh

To be honest, this is the first time i've had a poke round and I have no idea how long it's been like this, i've had the van a few months, so i'll keep an eye on it.

I'll do a search and see if I can find the workshop manual

Thanks again

John
