Does anybody know the best place to get new bumper from, in the correct colour? I'm guessing it would cost a fortune from the main dealer.
As you can see from the attached photo, it's not repairable.

A breaker on eBay maybe? And yep they (dealers) would want a kidney to supply a B9 bumper new and already painted.

Factory fresh bumpers aren't sold painted...
At most they have a layer of primer.
Because no one wants to stock every panel of every current (or recently discontinued) model in every possible colour combination.
If you want one that's already painted, you'll need to check the breakers.

I guess you parked too far forward on a shopping center carpark space, snagged the bumper lip and snapped the bumper shell as you reversed out...
You'll be very lucky to find the same bumper in the same colour. The XTR bumper is expensive even second hand. Colour matching is another issue.....

As Zion says, not a cheap job even with s/h parts. TBH I would probably be looking at a repair on your insurance as your loss of NCB could well be less than trying to DIY with the hassles of finding a bumper and getting it resprayed to colour match.

That looks like a straightforward repair? Remove the silver section and foglight, a couple of strips of ali at the back glued or fibreglassed on to pull it back together, 'V' the crack out and skim with filler, rattle can some paint on. It's in probably the least noticeable place on the car...

Absolutely Ratty, if the OP has the space and skills to do that, it could be epoxy / fibreglassed back together with metal supports in the glue and brought back to near perfect. Does look pretty thin I must say, I've fixed a few in the past and they were a bit thicker for getting the outer "crack" V'd so it can be filled and painted. Also takes the patience of a saint to wet and dry it down to a fine finish before painting starts.
I'd assumed the OP isn't on that kind of skill track or wouldn't have asked the question in the way they did. But, you never know.

The alternative to DIY is one of those mobile paint/alloy/bumper repair guys. I believe they can 'weld' that sort of damage.

Thanks for all the useful replies. I'm going to see if I can get some quotes for repair rather than replacement. I think my DIY skills would do more damage than good...
