Hi,
Just bought my first Berlingo van (2013) and cant stop the rear doors from auto locking as soon as I move off. I tried pressing and long pressing the button in front of the gear stick but it still does it. I cant find any option in the menu on the dash display either for it. Can someone please help, its driving me mad. I figured out how to stop the front doors locking but just cant workout the rear doors

Hi and welcome. You are pressing the button with the ignition on but engine not running aren't you? That certainly works on our van.

You need to press and hold the padlock button, not the rear doors button.

Why would you want to disable this? If the rear doors are unlocked while you're driving around, anyone (i.e. thieves) can open the rear doors when you're stopped at traffic lights etc. Locking all the doors is the first thing I do when I get in my van in public places - I don't wait for the van to do it as I move off.

I've pressed the padlock button and that has sorted the front doors but the rear door and side door are still locking once you move off
Ah, in that case you may have a modified model. Perhaps done by a previous owner to protect the load space. Ours certainly disables the rear doors as well - have just been out to check it. You may need access to Diagbox to alter the settings but I'm sure someone with better knowledge than I will be along soon to confirm 'yes' or 'no'.

You can reconfigure the locking to operate in any way you wish with DiagBox. Plenty of threads on here and elsewhere regarding getting, installing and using it. Use the search at the top to find out more.
