DAB problem

Hi
Just bought a used Berlingo 16 plate van and the DAB radio is intermittent. Constantly going on and off.
Done a rescan but still the same 
Rang customer services at Citrien for advice and told to go to main dealers. Rang dealers who want to charge £120 to do diagnostics but won't commit to a price for repairing 
I've seen on posts people advising to do an update...how do you do this?
Would really appreciate some help/info on this- driving me mad!

May be a daft question but do you live/drive in a hilly part of the country? DAB is almost 'line of sight' and any hill in the way will cut out the signal depending on where you are in relation to the transmitter. I have a similar problem when driving along the A24 in Surrey and passing Box Hill. There are more technical reasons but let's get this one out of the way first as you can't do anything about it.
