Could be a few things but my first one is the electronic throttle pedal sticking internally.

There's a whole thread on this somewhere, use the search box. Last person to have this issue went round in circles and nothing worked unfortunately.

I had it on my last van and it was cured by swapping the pedal out. You might get Lucky.

..and I was that man..probably.

Never cured it. Throttle pedal as well, EGR valve, dosser and sensors, checked for pipe leaks etc etc. No joy.

Finally just had to learn to live with it.

Sorry we cant be of more help.

How many revs is it sticking at ? I've noticed our older M59 has a feature where if I am in traffic and slowing down when the revs drop to a certain level they pick up again and accelerate to prevent stalling.
So where does this bit go then ?

Hi Coozer,

Had the same problem with mine, turned out you need to fully let the clutch out ie take you foot off it, sorted mine out from then on. Was going to have a look at (if there is such a thing) the clutch pedal switch, maybe it's set to near the depress point ?? but since I adopted my way of driving it haven't been bothered to look.

Hope it helps
