Fuel filter - XTR Blue HD 2016
#1
Hello all, hope someone can give me a knowledgeable opinion.

My engine light has come on, I've looked for a fault code but the can only find the following using icarsoft V1 tool;

Fuel high pressure circuit - Fuel pressure lower than reference value

Temp fault - DenOx system circuit, leak detected
Temp fault - Pre-cat converter

The car is starting and running perfectly, I'm going to change the fuel filter to start with, how does the system bled, I can't see any priming pump on top of
the filter housing or elsewhere.

The light went off for a bit but came back on after driving for a while, is it worth doing a BSI reset after changing the filter as well?

Thanks...

With a bit more research it seems the filter is self priming so at least that's sorted.

If that new filter doesn't clear the fault should I be looking at the fuel pressure sensor?

Hi what engine and year is it our 08 1.6 hdi has a bulb on the lines to pump the air out. it sits on top of the engine. It will not self prime.

RobS - I changed the filter, it's a 2016 1.6 Hdi, there is no priming bulb, you just fill the filter up with clean diesel and screw the top back on. When you start the car the revs are held at 300rpm for 30 secs. No issues at all.
