Any ideas for something to use as cushions/mattress in a boot jump style camper? I've seen a few examples on the forum and elsewhere but I'd like to rule out making covers, or anything too expensive (like to keep it under £100 if I can).
Thanks, Rob

Check out an item called Duvalay. It's like a sleeping bag (but better) and it has a foam base. Me and herself have used them for a good while now, washable, rolls up tidy and all in all I believe to be a good product.

How about dog matresses ( pets at home etc ) they are comfortable - I sleep on a couple on the floor when my back plays up - and not too expensive. Removable and washable covers too.
Size ??? a few different ones so worth a look.

I got interested in the folding guest mattresses as a result of this post and hunted out 2 or 3 variants.
You say they would be too large, but I noticed that the covers are removable for washing. Therefore it shouldn't be too difficult to cut the inner foam to size and restitch the covers to fit.
Same goes for a couple of others from the same supplier:

Also, have a look at (cheap) self inflating camping mats, they do a passable job as a sleeping roll, no pump required and roll up quite small when not in use.

+1 for Duvalay. I put it on a cheap camping mattress mainly because I have few for hiking; not sure how needed that is with the Duvalay as it seems adequate on its own.
