Modutop Cupboard Doors
#1
Due to my 5 year old daughter swinging out of it, the lid has come off one of the overhead lockers above the rear seats. The plastic hinges have snapped.

Anyone had this happen before?
Are replacements readily available from Citroen?

Looks like I'll have to drop the whole Modutop down from the roof the get at the hinges.

Thanks for that.
The replacement price is crazy.
May try gluing the hinges.
Will have a look at it again next weekend if the weather is any way warm.

Glue doesn't work, unfortunately. Just too much stress on the hinges.
Until you can find a couple at a scrappie or on eBay, Velcro will do the trick.

Velcro will work ok until there's a heatwave & the adhesive on it melts & comes unstuck !
Clear cable ties pushed through the slight gap above the door, & then worked round the
broken hinge & pulled up ( but not too tight ! ) will do the trick, without the hassle of having
to remove the doors, the catch will work normally, the repair is hardly noticeable & the job will
take only a few minutes to carry out !

Cable ties...

Take the doors off, thread the ties through the little gaps above the hinges and back through the modutop roof, loop them round and pull tight. Looks almost factory and works like hinges Smile The latch still works too.
