Fuel filter O ring - £130 help!
#1
Has anyone encountered this before?

I have 2013 1.6hdi Berlingo which developed a diesel leak from a fuel filter drain pipe

On removing the fuel filter it looks like the green o ring on the end of the housing spigot has been damaged, letting fuel pass.

I've scoured the internet but cant find a replacement, it's and odd size, about 6mm o/d 2mm i/d

None of the standard o ring sets fit, they are too thin, I've looked at air con o rings but dont seem to go that small

Citreon want £130 for a new housing assembly!

Can any one help?

Welcome to the forum.

If you have a look on catcar.info you should be able to find the part number you need & then search for that online. Also, post a picture of the part in the B9 section of the forum in case anyone else has an idea of what & where to get it?

Thank you for a speedy reply, welcome and recomendations.

I have tried your suggestion of catcar.info but it came back with the same diagram as the Citroen dealer which shows the correct assembly but the spigot detail and o ring are not shown separately, not sure how to share the diagram in the post.

I will try the Berlingo B9 section

Many thanks

Sounds like fluorine rubber. It's resistant to most petrochemicals.
I
found some on eBay, but couldn't find a local reseller...

Maybe worth trying an industrial supplier, such as: https://www.cromwell.co.uk/

Hi Jeremy006, I have same problem. Can you share if you were successful with the dimensions of the o-ring? Citroen and Peugeot in South Africa are unwilling to disclose the size of this o-ring.

Much appreciated. I did not realise that is the actual size that was quoted but thought it was only a link to a potential supplier.
