I need to remove the airbag on my Berlingo (2006 1.4 petrol) so I can try and fix the horn which only works when the ignition is off.
I have read a number of posts and watched videos where a small screwdriver is poked through small holes either in the back side of the steering wheel or from the back of the steering wheel, but my steering wheel doesn't appear to have any holes anywhere.
Is there another way to remove the airbag where no holes exist?
Thanks

Have you turned the steering wheel to the 3 oclock position then the 9 oclock pposition and finally 6 oclock position?? At these positions there shou.ld be a hole at the back of the wheel just above the column housing!!!

Thanks, yes, I have turned it all the way round and looked very carefully all over and there doesn't appear to be any holes. In all the videos and photos I have seen there are either 2 or 3 holes.
I will triple check again this morning. If no luck I will drive to the nearest Citroen dealer to see if they will show me how to remove the airbag.

On the B9 models the battery needs to be disconnected and the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position with steering lock engaged. A screwdriver is to be inserted in the hole in the lower part of the steering wheel boss to release the clips. The electrical connectors have to be disconnected and the air bag assy must be stored with the padded surface uppermost.

Treat the air bag with extreme caution. Disconnect the battery for a good few hours before doing it. Make sure your hands do not have static electricity, e.g. touch metal somewhere beforehand to be on the safe side. When you disconnect it, put it with the face up.
