I’ve been trying to install the cruise control and speed limiter on my B9 1.6 HDI. Done the BSI part without any problems. Done the physical installation of the stalk with limiter and cruise control as well as changed the standard pedal to the pedal type (LVVD) for the speed limiter without any problems.
But when it comes to the ECU part of it I switch both cruise control and speed limiter to ‘present’ from the ECU Download menu then click the cog. After clicking the cog I’m met with these 2 screens. Each time I try it I keep getting ‘invalid key’. Can anyone lend a hand with this please. It’s been doing my nut in for days now.
With Lexia, the key code is 03114. I've not tried Diagbox on a Citroen, Peugeot does not ask for a code, but am guessing that this is what you're missing.

Following on from my cruise control installation issue the other day where I was getting the error ‘key invalid’ when trying to reconfigure the ECU.
During the issue I was attempting to update Diagbox from 7.01 -> 7.83. Installations wouldn’t go further than 7.62 and it would result in me having to start from scratch.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME UPDATING!!!
IT WORKS PERFECT ON v7.02!!
Diagbox 7.02
- repair
- BSI
— configuration
— activate cruise control and speed limiter.
— press cog to save changes.
- back to repair.
- Engine ECU
— configuration
— ECU downloading
— activate cruise control and apeed limiter.
— press cog to save changes.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON SCREEN DURING CONFIGURATION.
Job done.
This did not work on any other version of Diagbox other than version 7.02. I’ve tried all of them!
It’s a 2012 Citroen Berlingo Multispace 1.6 HDI 8v 92hp with the Bosch EDC17 BR2 ECU and 9HP engine.
Clearer instructions on the installation can be found on this video by PeugeotCitroen2cv

Hopefully it’s of use to someone in future.
Still didn’t find anything to do with that 03114 key code. Forum search boxes hate me. Tried looking for that code but wasn’t getting any results on search, don’t know if it’s because I use my phone to visit here instead of a laptop.
My heavy foot got a well deserved rest last night when I went out to test the cruise control and speed limiter. Really happy with the results. My main want was the speed limiter with me using the car as a couriers car so speed limiter means less looking down at the speed keeping my focus on the road ahead but mainly for avoiding the speed cameras and to help with improving fuel economy.
Now just 4 more jobs to do on the car now that’s CC/SL been done:
- fuel leak from near fuel rail (still can’t find it)
- internal blower fan motor
- dpf
- front top strut mounts… actually so tempted to go for lowering springs or something while getting the top mounts done. (Sizes?)
The 03114 search problem might or might not be related to phone vs. PC, I can't say - but it does seem to be influenced by how the search is started.
Don't use the search entry box in the black bar of most or all forum pages - instead, click on the search link above it (in between Donate and Member List).
This brings up a new advanced search page with lots of options, but all you need do now is put 03114 in the "search by keyword" box near top left, and then (on a PC) hit the Enter key, or (on a phone) scroll right down and click on the centrally-aligned search button just above a pinky-purply-grapy coloured bar.
That will bring up a list of hits, I think sorted by most recent first but you can change that, and when you click on a hit and look at the thread, your search term will be highlighted in yellow.
I envy you being able to have speed lim as well -my M59 can only have CC because of the way the gas pedal is connected up. But even just CC will be a vast improvement. What's holding me back is I am very unsure how well my diagbox install went and want to do it again, but never have a day spare to waste on it!
As for your looking down at the speedo, what about an HUD display? Or a sat nav can be configured to tell you verbally if you are speeding, as well as warn you when cams are ahead.

Hate anything in my field of view. I listen to the voice on the sat nav more than I watch it. I’ve got the speed settings all set up on it, but having the hard limiter will make life so much easier. I’m not gonna do what I done in November - boot it too hard causing the timing to strip at high speed obliterating valves, pistons, the works. Just had the engine rebuild done so wanna play it safe this time around
Guessing the M49 issue is down to the accelerator being cable operated instead of fly by wire?
I’m now quite curious on what else can be done to this via Diagbox.
The install from start to finish takes 45mins on a poo spec ancient dell xp laptop.
Make sure you’re disconnected from the internet.
If you have Diagbox installed already open the disk and click the “uninstall Diagbox and cleaner”. It’ll open a command prompt. Press ‘A’ then return to start uninstall.
Restart computer when complete.
Open the uninstaller/cleaner command prompt again from the disk and select option ‘B’ then return. This cleans the Diagbox previous installation.
Open and install Diagbox as normal on version 7.01. Allow it to install Lexia and Pp2000.
Close Diagbox.
Restart pc.
Open Diagbox and it will self update to 7.02.
Version 7.02 should be sufficient for your needs.
45mins or so start to finish.
Ive been trying to update since last week so I’m properly kicking myself on how much time I wasted on even trying to update.

Part of the 'super dooper' (read: hopeless Powerpoint) extra training we truckers get is on where sat navs can be legally placed in windscreens. The screen is divided into 3 areas, A B and C. To have a sat nav blocking any part of A and B is actually illegal, at least for trucks, and can result in a big fine. These areas are basically the area covered by the sweep of the wipers.
We get shown two PP slides, the first one is a view out of a truck windscreen with the sat nav mounted centrally on the dash, as it usually is in most trucks because that's where a standard 1m power lead can reach. The next slide is exactly the same but without the sat nav, and this time you can see a mum with a baby in a pushchair in the same spot in the windscreen view, making it obvious that the sat nav would have completely obscured her.
The only legal place where a sat nav can be placed in a windscreen is area C, and that is the space between the outer edge of the area swept by the wipers and the edge of the windscreen itself.
All well and good, careful notes made and intentions made to be legal from now on. But - problem 1: you need a longer lead. I have a 2m one. Problem 2: in trucks at least, the area between the swept area and the screen edge is maybe a centimetre wide!
So in other words sat navs cannot obscure windscreens legally at all, and can only be mounted in the dash or in front of it but not in front of the screen as well!
Thanks for your advice on installing Diagbox; I will give it a go but i must say that you were extremely lucky. Having bought my copy on DVDs I first asked here for any advice on the best way t install it, and got several different and conflicting replies. The long and short is that the program itself may be the same, but all the various copies of it on DVD and in the cloud are not. My DVDs even included a YT style video showing step by step how to install it, but it involved opening folders and using files which were not on the DVD! Then I found that one of the disks was infected with a virus IIRC.
Eventually, after going through all the different sets of advice for anything which resembled the files on my DVDs and also stuff on the web inc YT vids, it seems that there was a not at all obvious self-installer on the DVD and Diagbox installed itself - without needing any passwords or codes which was worrying. But I was most of a day in by then.
Then the next day I tried it out on my car. It refused to recognise my VIN, was missing several menu items which others said were there, and others didn't do anything. So I think I need to start again, but TBH I would rather board a plane to India right now!
Never got as far as updating it.
