extending wires
#1
I will be changing the horn on my Berlingo but want to mount them higher up in the wing from the std current horn.
I don't want to start scrabbling around cutting connector blocks off to extend the horn wires.
I have done a search and come up with these connectors with fly leads.

What i don't know is, is the wire loom going to the horn is it male or female at the connector.

Yea thats a bit like doing it with a blind fold on for me, a long long reach from the top and can't get to the lock, and from the bottom is awkward as well.
I'm to old for scrambling around under cars these days.

Its a right hassle to get to the horn , IRC I took off the bumper makes it easier to access. (old Mk1 berlingo )

what about a universal horn , I've one that I was going to fit years ago,  its got two separate male connectors, the old type with the blue plastic covering and only needs two female push on connectors.

I think the wiring runs behind the front n/s inner wing so that was where I was going to mount it .

I can see the horn from the top and the wire to the horn is only about 6in long at most. II have not tried getting the wire off the horn as yet (watching MOTOGP qualifying)
If i can get it off i want to mount my new horns higher up, i have found a that should work.
