Genuine or Third Party Bluetooth Module
#1
Hi Everyone,

My partner and I has just purchased a Berlingo 2010 Multispace 1.6 HDi. Unfortunately, this car doesn't have an aux-in port or Bluetooth connectivity. Our phones don't have jack ports unfortunately and we wouldn't want to mess around with the cable preferably.
I'm thinking about installing a Bluetooth module but I'm not sure where I could buy a genuine Citroen Bluetooth module or a good quality third party module.
Can somebody recommend me options which would provide good sound quality?

Many thanks,
Thomas

I “THINK” you may have to get a new Bluetooth enabled radio. I’m sure I will be corrected.

Would it not affect any other features in the car if I replaced the radio to something like this one?

By the way, what is a good price to pay for one of these? I have seen them for £10 on eBay too.

I have this for 6 months, works great, but you also need the C display!

Went through all the options of buying a new radio, separate modules etc and decided in the end to but this.

Give you everything you need, keeps the original look and works without any faffing!!! They also set the vin code for you free of charge.

What about Parrot MKI9200?
we use it and it works great.
Have a look, it has its own display.
We placed the display under the standard radio and the controle on the centre console.

It works great for phonecalls but it's ancient technology, uses its own built in amp and the Bluetooth codecs are really old.

€119 is a bargain for a new factory radio.

I have one of the effectively FM transmitters that plug into the cigarette lighter and you tune the radio too it, can play your own music or DAB through it, also allows you to use the speakers when a phone call happens too.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4

Thank you for your input.
I agree that the new radio from AliExpress would be the most elegant solution. However, as this car is not that young we don't really want to spend that much money on it.

I was thinking about buying an audio cable and adding one of these modules:

Or maybe this one, it could rest under the radio:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TROND-Bluetooth...ics&sr=1-5

I am aware of that I need to authorise the "aux-in" in the car's software.

Has anyone done this before? or is it not worth the faff?
