Hi friendly Citroen enthusiasts! I've just picked up a 2013 625 Enterprise 1.6 diesel, but the guy who had it last has replaced the original radio and button cluster with an Android touchscreen - it's Citroen branded on the boot screen so it must be compatible.
Everything works fine, great in fact, except there is no sound, never, ever, at all. A complete deficit of speaker action. And no, it's not on mute ???
Also the steering column audio control stalk's buttons have no control over the touchscreen so I think they are disconnected from it.
The last piece of the puzzle, which I think might be a big hint (?), is that there are also no beeps from the parking sensors.
So, what should I be looking for? BSI Reset? BSI needs reprogramming? Speaker wiring somehow went open-circuit in the fitting of the screen?
Thanks Tomcat3, I'll pull the touchscreen head unit tonight and see what sort of job the last fella did. It's not related to the BSI in any way then, you think?

Right on! So this took a while and a whole lot more cursing than I thought, but I've found the aftermarket circuit board he used to link the aftermarket touchscreen into the system. When I squeeze it, audio plays sporadically from each speaker! So this, or one of the connectors to it, is the culprit.
I wouldn't infer much from the Citroen logo being on the boot screen, on Android head units I'm aware of you can load any .jpg image of the correct size to appear during the boot and/or as background.

This has been solved! The connector on the vehicle side must not have been fully seated. Having thoroughly inspected the PCBA and satisfied myself it was perfect, and reassembled the thing without making any changes, all is well in the world.
I don't get beeps from the parking sensor though - instead it simply cuts out the radio / audio when I get close to something, and I have to look at the lines coming up on the central monochrome screen to gauge distance. Anyone know if it's possible to get the proximity beeps back?
