Door won’t unlock
#1
Sad
Hi I have just purchased a 2005 1.6 diesel which is making me very happy ?. Small problem though the rear passenger door drivers side will only unlock manually. It stays locked when I open the vehicle by either the key or the fob. If anyone knows how I can fix this I would be really grateful as it is gonna make my life with the grandchildren so much easer. Thanks x  Wink

Child lock only stops the door opening from inside the car. Does the solenoid click when you unlock with the fob? it could just be the linkage in the panel.
So where does this bit go then ?

This probably made my neighbours wonder what I was doing last night locking and unlocking doors on my 2004 MS.
Then again this morning when I found the child locks (only had the car since 2005).
I reckon it could be the solenoid or linkage as well.
Seem to remember the sliding door configuration changed around 2005 sometime and the big interior handles lost the big black buttons but not sure if that would have any bearing.

Thanks everyone I put a new battery in the fob and got out the trusty WD40. Must have just been a bit dirty as it did the trick ?
