[Steering & Suspension] Steering boot gaiter lose
#1
I just change the right and the left steering  boot gaiters, however on the right side there is two kind of rubber gaiters, one for the steering rack and other for the track rod,

The track rod instead of being fitted with clamps it has to be fitted with glue, so i ask if someone can tell me witch kind of glue should be used... at the moment is lose in one side

Here goes a picture in attachment of the boot gaiter....

I think it should be held with a clip, the part number for the boot is probably 406621. The parts list in the diagram below does not show a clip, but the picture does show a clip. It is maybe part 17 in the list that you need but cannot be sure.

Here is a picture of the part with the clip..

The clip 17 that you refer is for one side of the gaiter 21, on the other (large diameter) i think is glued because when i peal out it was sticked with some glue,

I already solve, is impossible to find solutiin on the web, not even together with the dealer.

So i used a specific adhesive glue, witch is loctite 401, it was applied on the lips of larger boot side after a good cleaning,

Loctite 401 it was the one i had available, but if you use loctite 495 it would be mutch better

I hope it helps
