Alarm confirmation on lock/unlock

Hi people.

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can activate the alarm to give a little chirp or horn confirmation that the van is locked/unlocked. 

I know it's possible on VAG cars by coding by not sure about Citroen.

Do they have an alarm ? most just have an immobiliser.

Can you not hear the door lock operate or see the indicators flash?

I think very few 'Lingos have a factory alarm fitted as these were optional (very expensive) extras. Granted there is a red flashing light from the consul near the gear lever (on B9s) but this does not indicate there has been a alarm fitted. If there is a switch to disable the internal alarm sensors in the group that includes turning off the parking assist mode to the right of the steering wheel then you have an alarm. If no switch then no alarm.

Would also be handy if the OP told us what model he has.

Mine has the factory immobilizer + central locking. No alarm.

No chirp.

Mine has the alarm as standard - pain in the backside if you ever leave the windows slightly open on a hot day and forget to disarm it!
