Delivery times..... for 2021
#1
Anyone know how long delivery times are for new factory builds?

I am 7 weeks into my wait with zero news of a date... just September or October. (eek!)

Vauxhall Combos are slated in for Dec 2021. (Pass the gin!!!!!)

Anyone ordered a new one recently and have a better idea?

If not... how can I hire a car for a couple of months without getting stung for a heap of cash?   I don't really want a £500 banger.... is there another option?

I ordered a Flair XL automatic on April 15th (as soon as possible after dealers reopened after lock down). Optimistic delivery time 12 weeks, i.e. due in the next few weeks. Can't even get a build week out of the dealer. Three excuses:
Brexit red tape slowing imports
COVID-19
World wide automotive semiconductor chip shortage
Estimated delivery date: non

Oh... damn. Thanks.

Looks like I am going to have to buy a runaround in the meantime....

£900 a month for a "budget" lease.... for anything bigger than an Fiat 50.... groan...

Thanks! I have a horrible feeling it's going to be in with the November Combos.

I cannot find anything on the website for what the factory plans to make.... it appears it's the Portugal factory...

Looks like it will have to be "buy a banger" time....

I’ve just ordered a Driver pro 100 for delivery in April, added a leather steering wheel as my present 2019 Enterprise has a horrible plastic wheel. Also added auto aircon as I struggle to achieve a comfortable cabin in winter - anyone else suffer the same ?
Some dealers quoted March delivery but I don’t need the van till April as only have 105k miles on the present one.

I spoke to my local dealer. He could not really give me a delivery time for a new Feel. I might order one for delivery next March when new reg comes out.

Questions salesman could not answer maybe the forum can. Is the new Berlingo available with full sized road wheel spare ie not a skinny ? Another question he could not answer is the factory fit towbar available fully wired for caravan use ? As standard it will have current 13 socket but only wired for trailer lights. Usually to get the caravan bits working to charge caravan battery & run fridge an extra loom is required but salesman had not a clue about that. Current car had towbar fitted at dealer workshop before delivery but apparently they don’t do that now. I don’t want to get one fitted by an outside firm I would rather it came with the car & covered by warranty.

Annoyingly he seemed more interested in getting his hands on my trade in 17 reg Feel than answering my questions about a new car.

Just got off the phone with my dealership and they tell me the delay is mainly with Berlingos due to the factory re jigging so the electric model can be assembled on the same line as petrol and diesel models.

For me thats not a bad thing - i may well have the first facelifted van on the road in the UK for private use.

That would make the first facelifted on the previous version, the first K9 and possibly the first facelifted K9 that I have now owned.
