Hey guys and gals this is a warning my 66 plate 16 hdi 49000 on the clock full service history problem free motoring until 4 weeks ago water pump siezed  solid threw the cam belt destroyed top end valves rockers camshaft the whole lot although the belt is supposed to be good  for 12000 the water pump isn't £1500 for engine rebuild a bit hard to swallow beware ???

Most unfortunate ...... so what are you proposing then ???

Does " beware " mean we need to check our pumps every 1000 miles ?

Maybe suggesting water pump ain't upto the job having taken the engine apart sent the head to engineering specialists for head rebuild who informed me it's a regular problem he's doing 6 or 7 a month ???
