Possible Driver side window regulator fault

Hi there. My dad's berlingo has developed a fault where the Driver side window will not go up or down with out physically pushing it up or down. The regulator and motor are working as you can hear the motor working for both up and down commands and see the cables flexing and moving. I know there is a part of the regulator that the glass clips into and I can only assume the clips that hold the glass are broken but not in a way where the glass can rest on it still.

I take it that it's  in for a new regulator or am i going down the wrong path. 

Any advice or pointers are welcome

I can't remember how the glass was attached when I changed mine. It was 2016 when the cable started to unravel and finally refuse to move the glass.

For £20 off eBay it's worth replacing it, don't think it was hard or I'd remember it.
