Lexia Diagnostic - fault?
#1
I bought a generic Lexia diagnostic but I can't seem to get the computer (an old XP laptop) to recognise the device at all. I think I've been through every permutation of software install and the interface checking programme - nothing.

It is possible I've done something wrong or there's a fault with the laptop, but could someone confirm whether the green light on the dongle should stay on when it's plugged in to a USB port? The one I've got comes on for a second or so and goes out.

The green light on mine stays on. It could be a faulty device. Maybe try on a different computer to see if the light behaves the same or a different USB port.

If you look in the XP device manager, you should be able to see the 'Actia' interface. If not, it's either a broken USB port or a broken interface. If you've just bought it, I'd be tempted to send it back in any case as faulty.

Many thanks both - no device in device manager, and tried it on different machines and the light doesn't stay on. I've raised a query with the seller.
