Hi everyone
My 2009 berlingo 1.6hdi keeps scrubbing out the outside edge of the near side rear tyre
Is this a common problem on the b9 berlingo
I know I can get a four wheel alignment check done but is there any adjustment available on the rear?
Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?

Take it in and have it checked first. Even if there was adjustment -which I dont think there is- you cant really do it anyway. The taught string and piece of wood trick that the diy er,s like to do isnt really practical. Do you check your pressures often and have a changing rear axle load, as in passengers etc. Your tyre place will also be able to adjust there and then so cut straight to the chase. Different tyre makes also have different characteristics - a michelin can wear different to a maxxis...

Yup, its a toe problem. First step take it in and get it up on the ramp and the weight off the trailing arm. They can see the axle assembly then. That MIGHT be a cracked torsion bar - not completely parted, doing its job but loose on the splines. Not enough for the rear wheel to collapse but enough for the axle to wander and loose the geometry especially on the road-camber side or near-side wheel.

Ok .. we,re at the cross-over stage.. apparently. Mine has torsion rods.
We ARE talking about a Berlingo 600k van are,nt we ?
..and it has springs over dampers..

No we,re not, and I think I know your vehicle. Yes it probably has coil-overs .
You need to get it into a tyre place first step. If its out you may be able to shim-it but they wont do it for you - its a garage job and will need a kit ..both sides.

...and... I found a pic of whats probably your rear suspension. Its not coil-overs its just spring and damper.
Same as before, take it in and have it checked for coil damage/seating and play in the hub bearing and geometry check.
